Register a Trade Name

Note: This application is intended for registering or renewing a trade name linked to an Ontario corporation. If you wish to register a business name under a single individual, please select the Ontario Sole Proprietorship option. For business names jointly owned by more than one individual or corporation, choose the General Partnership Registration option.

Important Notice: Uploading an incorrect document may result in delays and additional charges. We will require your NUANS report, and our agent will verify the document you provide. If you are unfamiliar with this process or do not have a NUANS report, we can obtain a new one for you.

Important Notice: An Ontario trade name MUST be owned by a corporation that is registered in the province of Ontario. If your corporation is registered federally or provincially other than Ontario, it must be registered extra-provincially in Ontario and must have the OCN number.

Note: Any one of the following documents can be provided: Certificate of Incorporation, Articles of Incorporation, Company Profile Report, Notice of Filing of Initial Return, or the most recent Annual Return Notice.
